Hi! My name is Diane and I am a licensed teacher with a doctorate degree in education and 19 years of experience in teaching! My philosophy of teaching is that everyone can and should be given every opportunity to learn. I use a humanistic approach which encompasses the total development of each student. Hi! My name is Diane and I am a licensed teacher with a doctorate degree in education and 19 years of experience in teaching! My philosophy of teaching is that everyone can and should be given every opportunity to learn. I use a humanistic approach which encompasses the total development of each student. The use of multi-tiered, cooperative learning activities address students of all academic levels. Varied lesson plans focus on each of the seven learning styles giving each student the ability to thrive.

My teaching career has been geared toward the empowerment of elementary school children. I have a strong passion to educate young minds and help them blossom into well-rounded, responsible and successful individuals. Throughout the course of my career, though, I have had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students of all ages, including those with learning disabilities, those who performed at grade level and those who were gifted. As a result, I have become proficient at designing creative and stimulating lesson plans, which accommodate multiple intelligences, bring a hands-on approach to learning, and keep students interested and focused.

In the last 7 years, I have been teaching GED courses to help adult learners. I have seen over 100 students successfully pass the GED test after using my services and I hope to see many, many more. The feeling of setting that goal and then reaching it is amazing!

Here is what you can expect when using my tutoring services: a personal, tailor-made lesson base created just for you, a boost in self-confidence when you reach the goals you set forth, and instruction from a trained, experienced educator who knows how to get results. Here is what I expect from my students: a mutual respect between tutor and student, a willingness to learn and a desire to succeed. Diane is tutoring math for my 10 year old 5th grade son. She is very patient with him and understanding. The distance learning in fourth grade was trying for him by not having that one on one relationship with his teacher. Diane gives him detailed explanations of each problem and works through them with him. She has even reached out to his teacher for the daily lesson plan, which is above and beyond in my opinion! I highly recommend Diane! We will be keeping her as long as we can though! ( :

Best tutor I have ever had!

Diane was my first tutor that I picked when I wanted to go after my GED and without her I would not be where I am. feeling confident and almost ready to take the GED math portion of the test! I never used to feel confident in math till Diane started working with me. Now I feel like I can tackle any math problem put Infront of me. Very patient and understanding

Our first session was Math. Diana was able to explain all the work and the process. She was also able to show me how everything worked and how I was able to apply it. She has a great set up and is very patient when teaching.
