Donna really helped my son with his sight words! He loves to go his work now and is eager to learn and practice with me. This means the world to me, before I hired Donna my son didn't respond to his school work well now he loves it! Thank you Donna for helping my son with his sight words! He can do them all by himself now and is eager to learn. If I need anything else I'll let you know in the future. It's been a pleasure having you help him. Thank you so much.
Donna was really patient and helpful with my daughter. Took her time to help with math and reading strategies
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taught K-5 phonics successfully for 20 years as part of a comprehensive language arts program. In addition to regular education students, I have worked with bilingual and special needs students. I believe phonics is a necessary tool for decoding unfamiliar words and becoming a confident, successful reader.
