I received my degree in elementary education from Bethany College in January of 2012. I logged over 480 hours of student teaching and 300 hours of observation in my undergrad at Bethany collage ranging from grades K-6. I was a active member in the Beta Theta Pi fraternity where I held the potion of treasurer and philanthropy chair. I am also the current recruitment advisor for the chapter. As a former student at Bethany College, I have learned research-based teaching stratified such as teaching as a reflective practitioner, using differentiated instruction, as well as many different types of teaching strategies including but not limited to, hands on learning, and student empowerment. My experience in the classroom as a student teacher really put my teaching strategies to the test and in doing so I found that the students learned better through hands on activities, as well as student empowerment"giving the students a voice in their education". By implementing these strategies I believe a teacher can positively influence a student.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
