Ohio University (Education)
Hello, my name is Kelly. I graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Education with a concentration in math. I am certified in Ohio and Texas to teach math grades 7-12. I was a high school math teacher for 6 years. I left the classroom 3 years ago because I became a mother and wanted to stay home with my daughter. I miss teaching and hope to return to the classroom once my daughters start school. I love working with students and helping them understand math. I have worked with all types of students and have the ability to break down the material for students to understand. I try to make math as easy as possible by giving students helpful tips. I look forward to tutoring and helping students succeed in math!

I was very glad to have met with Kelly. She was already waiting for us when we arrived and after a brief greeting, got down to work. My son's first words to me was that she's made Algebra seem much easier. She definitely helped him better understand his work.
Kelly reviewed worksheets my son struggled through in school. He found it much easier to work with Kelly. She would explain it clearly and help him through until he understood.
She has done such a great job helping my daughter grasp some very difficult concepts in her advanced algebra class! Excellent tutor
We loved our first lesson with Kelly. My daughter felt like she really received great instruction that was broken down for her in an easy to understand manner. Kelly is patient and motivating. We are so happy we found her!
Went over equations and reviewed algebra. 1 terms. Also Showed him how to solve equations in algebraic form and on graphs.
Kelly does an amazing job with my daughter. Very patient and friendly. You can tell she genuinely enjoys working with kids.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
