Hello, Chào, Hola, Salute! I Specialize in TESOL and can help you improve your English skills. For the past 15 years I've had experience volunteering in the Vietnamese community. I have assisted students preparing for citizenship tests, drivers tests, state certification tests, etc. These experiences have made me realize what a challenge it can be to learn English as a second language.
Modern advances in neuroscience have greatly influenced the methods that can be used to teach English as a second language. I always want to make full use of these findings and often look to creative, unconventional methods to help students remember new words and phrases. I believe learning should be a fun experience, so humor and games play a part in my teaching. We simply learn better when we are enjoying the process. I am also aware that different students learn in different ways. For this reason, I use kinesthetic learning, mnemonic devices and spaced learning. My students have a good time in class and leave with new language skills.
I hold a Bachelor's of Education, Cum Laude, specializing in TESOL from University of Science, Arts and Technology, Montserrat.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
