About Cassie

My name is Cassie. I am currently an AmeriCorps member and part-time graduate student. I have a passion for young people, community involvement, health and numbers. For my current AmeriCorps assignment I teach health and life skills to refugees in the Cleveland area. I love helping people achieve recognize and achieve their goals! I especially enjoy helping young people develop skills to be successful through out life.
Through undergrad I tutored elementary, middle school, high school, and college students. After college I served a year in AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps-FEMA. As a certified national planner, I am a highly motivated visionary. During my previous AmeriCorps service I was my teams service learning initiator. I helped the team discuss social issues and guided the team through activities which enabled us to engage community issues. This helped my team stay motivated to complete more service projects than any AmeriCorps National Civilian Commuity Corps-FEMA team has ever completed!

I tutored through college level calculus for three years and minored in mathematics.
I overcame my own dysgraphia to graduate top of my undergraduate class and be named Outstanding Health Sciences Graduate of 2014. While some may see my dysgraphia as a weakness, I believe it makes me a compassionate and innovative tutor. I am able to engage students with academic struggles in a professional but personal manner since I share some of their challenges.

Need help with numbers? Need help figuring out what a formula actually MEANS? How about ACT prep? Need a tutor who has an idea of what it's like to not learn in the "usual" way? Contact me, Cassie, for any math tutoring needs! I am willing to schedule evenings and weekends to fit your schedules.
