As a veteran classroom educator with a passion for teaching science, I will help not only help you understand the concepts, but I will make sure we have fun doing it. When it comes to teaching the subject matter, you can expect a Bill Nye type of enthusiasm and the incorporation of a lot of visuals. As a teaching aid, I create science-based comics to help supplement the material.

I specialize in Earth, environmental and physical science topics, but I am also quite skilled in mathematics and chemistry.

I have been a classroom teacher for over fifteen years with extensive experience with middle and high school students. I spent the first half of my teaching career working with at-risk youth, which in turn has given me a lot of experience working with students who are a little behind. As a middle school teacher, I know how important it is to keep learners engaged and keep the subject matter interesting.

I "nerd out" on science. I truly find it all so fascinating, and this energy and excitement are evident in my teaching. I have the ability to break down tricky content into an easy-to-grasp format with the use of examples, visuals, and comics.
