As a tutor, I've met directly with single students, working together on problems and solving them as we moved forward. As a teacher, I've used a similar, practical and experiential approach to engage and instruct groups of teens. Fortunately, one-on-one tutoring allows for a tailored, personal and individualized delivery of the subject matter. I appreciate that the most. I also find it incredibly rewarding when students thank me for my personal interest in their learning and for the specific things they've learned from me.
I majored in Law and Sociology and received minors in English and Psychology from Purdue University. Earned my MBA from Findlay with a 3.7 GPA in late 2014.
I have independently studied anatomy, physiology, nutrition, preventative dentistry and various math, science and philosophy subjects. I've kept all my textbooks and refer to them frequently.
My writings have been published in major periodicals, and I hold a Six Sigma Green Belt (advanced statistics). I also have a "Long-Term Substitute Teaching" license from the State of Ohio Board of Education in the fields of Integrated Language Arts and Integrated Social Studies.
