I am a dedicated educator with a dual certification in Elementary Education as well as Mild to Moderated needs. I have tutored reading and math for the last two years with an emphasis on helping my students with the state tests. I am an effective teacher because I take the time to listen to my students and their parents so that everyone's needs are met. After each session I will conference with the parents at no extra charge for however long or short they wish so that the parents can be an active part of the tutoring process. This is why I am a productive and successful tutor.

Sherri did a very competent assessment of my grandson's math and reading weakness. I feel confident Sherri will develop a workable plan to address his academic issues.
My grandson immediately warmed up to Sherri. She is very organized, always prepared, and patient. We noticed a difference is his ability to count and read after a few sessions with Sherri. He also had more confidence in himself after working with Sherri. I would highly recommend her for tutoring.
Sherri is a wonderful tutor. She's very patient and good at keeping my son's attention! She's very knowledgeable about the subjects and happy to answer any questions I may have!
Sherri is a great tutor and was flexible. She works very well with my kid and is a very patient and encouraging.
Thank you for the support. Sabrina is very smart and together we will have her confident in her abilities.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I graduated with a bachelors in Elementary Education in 1987 and then worked at one of the Princeton schools' elementary buildings. I have continued my education and my certification is renewed until 2017. The last two years I have been subbing and tutoring elementary students. I have experience working with students who need a different style of teaching than the traditional classroom can give, and I differentiate all my lessons based on the individual students needs, learning style, and interests.
I hold an Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida teaching license in K-8 and Mild to Moderate special needs.
