Wright State University (Mathematics)
University of Cincinnati (Master's)
I have a BS from Wright State in mathematics with a concentration in statistics. I recently achieved my MS from the University of Cincinnati in quantitative analysis. Some of the subjects that I am comfortable with include algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, combinatorics, and statistics (probability, regression, time series, optimization, simulation, and design of experiments).
While earning my BS at Wright State, I was a math proctor for an intro to algebra course. This included teaching a group of 4-5 students each quarter, along with working one-on-one in the help room with students who needed extra assistance. I immediately began my professional career after earning my BS from Wright State, and have spent the last seven years as an analyst in several industries.
I plan on teaching at Sinclair or other local colleges sometime in the future. I will keep my day job, but just teach 1 or 2 math classes at night. Tutoring is something that I would like to do for now until I decide to start applying for college jobs. I have a BS from Wright State in mathematics with a concentration in statistics. Vince was very helpful for my Quantitative Analysis class. He was very knowledgeable and worked at my pace. I would definitely hire him again!
Excellent tutor. Able to take a complex concept and make it understandable. Very professional. He was very prompt. Overall good guy.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
