I'm Jessica! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Adolescent to Young Adult Integrated Mathematics from The University of Akron and am currently finishing up a Master's degree in Mathematics from Shawnee State University. While at The University of Akron, I worked as a math tutor which assisted me in transitioning to a classroom environment. I presently teach Integrated Math II, Honors Integrated Math II, and Honors Precalculus, while offering tutoring for my present and past students. Next year, with the completion of my Master's degree, I will also be teaching a College Credit Plus Modeling Algebra course through Kent State University.
My plethora of tutoring and teaching experiences have granted me the ability to alter my instruction based on my students needs and strengths. I pride myself on my ability to identify knowledge gaps and bridge the expanse between what my students currently understand and what they need to accomplish, while creating a fun and engaging learning environment in the process. I offer tutoring on all Middle School and High School math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Probability, Statistics, Precalculus and Calculus, along with many College course!
I look forward to not only supporting my students to succeed, but also helping them to experience how exciting and rewarding learning can be!
Along with creating tutoring sessions that fit you and your learning needs, I will work to assist you in supporting yourself through you educational career. I hear from my students constantly how difficult it can be to study math, and I want to provide you with the tools you need to do so, as I do for them.
Whether you are a high school student struggling with Algebra, a college student navigating Calculus I, or working to receive your GED, I look forward to supporting you to be successful. Please feel free to contact me anytime and schedule a tutoring session!
