“**Helpful and humorous!**”

I enjoy helping others and I LOVE math and physics. I want to help you understand material & get the grades you never thought you would!

I offer great explanations and am very patient. I have over 6 years of experience at universities, community colleges, and in-person tutoring. I graduated a B.S. in Mathematics and a heavy emphasis in

Dan helped my nephew with Algebra and provided some humor that my nephew appreciated since he struggles with Math and it makes him anxious. First lesson and my nephew earned his first 100 on a quiz! Progress!

Daniel seemed a little nervous at first. My son really liked him and said he explained things so they were easy to understand. Very polite and courteous. So far so good.

Daniel has been able to make Algebra logical for my son, and he goes the extra mile to make sure that concepts are understood. I am watching my son gain more confidence and his grades have already started to improve. And he actually looks forward to working with Daniel! I never thought I would see that! Daniel is patient, flexible, and is an excellent teacher!

Daniel was very patient, gave examples, allowed my son to work problems and watched to see where he was making mistakes, encouraged him to ask questions

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1 is a fundamental subject that I have encountered a lot tutoring over the years. I have been able to explain these concepts in multiple ways to ensure the students understand the material. I am very patient when it comes to tutoring and really enjoy helping students understand the material from Algebra 1.

Algebra 2 is one of the subjects I have encountered the most tutoring over the years. I have been able to explain it in multiple ways to many different students. Algebra is a fundamental subject, and I really enjoy helping students understand the concepts.

I have a strong background in Calculus due to the extensive use in my Engineering undergraduate and a lot when teaching Physics. As part of my Mathematics degree I took two additional courses that went into the concepts behind calculus and proving each of the theorems. This has given me a strong understanding of the material and allowed me to explain each of the concepts to students in multiple ways.

Calculus is a common subject I have encountered while working in tutoring centers and tutoring privately over the years. I really enjoy Calculus and would be glad to help you better understand the material!

One of my undergraduate degrees was in mathematics where I had taken Differential Equation and Advanced Differential Equations. I worked in a tutoring center throughout college and this was a common subject I would help in. Additionally, I have heavy use of Differential Equations in both Engineering and Physics applications; whether that be in deriving equations or application in problem solving.

In both Mathematics and Engineering, Linear Algebra is greatly used\emphasized. I was fortunate enough to take Advanced Linear Algebra I & II during my undergraduate career. Linear Algebra has become a common reference in my graduate degree progression, which has solidified my understanding of the material. I graduated from University of Houston with a B.S. in Mathematics and a heavy emphasis in engineering.

Physics is my strongest subject. I worked at San Jacinto Community College in Houston, Texas as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for over 5 years in Physics 1 and 2. I also worked as a Workshop Facilitator for Physics 1 at University of Houston for 4 years. I have received high ratings from my students (Avg. Rating 4.9/5) with comments such as "Daniel knows his stuff!" and "Daniel makes physics less miserable!"

I really enjoy physics and am capable of explaining concepts in multiple ways to ensure you understand the material. I would be glad to help you succeed in physics!
