I am an instructor with various pre-college and college programs, where I assist students in the mathematics, science, and computer skills preparation to successfully continue their secondary school academics and prepare for or continue post-secondary education. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a current Young Scholars Program instructor at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. My responsibilities include providing math and science instruction for 8th - 12th grade students, as well as OGT preparation. I have 6 years experience with grade /middle school Algebra, 7 years experience with high school Algebra 1 and 4 years experience with college Algebra 1. Algebra 1 covers many fundamental skills and concepts required for all subsequent math courses. My strongest knowledge and experience areas are General Physics, Vibration / Wave Physics, Classical Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Electromagnetics. The next strongest knowledge and experience areas are Statistical Physics, Particle Physics, and Quantum Physics. I also have strong knowledge and experience with the Mathematical Physics. I am very familiar with the content of both the Halliday and Resnick and Serway and Jewett physics texts.

The goal of Pre-Algebra is to teach students to apply logical reasoning mathematically and to connect mathematical skills to real-life activities.

Pre-Calculus is a continuation of Algebra 2 (and Geometry), requiring a strong Algebra 2 background, and emphasizes advanced algebra and graphing skills with polynomial functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, and trigonometric functions.
