I have a PhD in counseling psychology which means that I am trained to teach, research, and counsel. I have done all three and enjoy them all. I am currently teaching online courses and enjoy helping students meet their academic goals. I have strong writing skills and know the APA Publication Manual well. I also have the ability to be creative and am very organized. I enjoy the challenge of simplifying a complicated idea and sharing it with others. I look forward to working with others and care about who I work with.
I have over 20 years of experience working in the field of mental health. I specialize in the topics of substance use and psychological theories. I have personally used many of the counseling techniques taught in school in my own work with children, adolescents, and adults in therapy. I have two years of experience teaching on the college level.
I am available from 10 am to 8 pm any day of the week. The best way to contact me is by email. I am willing to meet with you face-to-face or online. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
