Although I don't have the most tutoring experience, I have a passion for learning and I love to help others however I can.

I am currently in my university's honors college with a 4.0 GPA, which I feel demonstrates my willingness to work hard and be as effective as possible as a tutor. I feel confident tutoring Writing, Reading, Psychology, ACT English, and ACT Reading Comprehension, Art History, and more. My teaching plans are always individualized, and I try to structure my teaching methods around the student's unique learning style.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! I'm very flexible, and I always try to make appointment scheduling as convenient as possible for the parents and students. Please let me know if I can do anything to make tutoring more helpful and less stressful!

Corporate Training

Grammar,

Grammar

At any educational level, I feel confident in helping strengthen grammatical skills. I was trained in grammar from grade school, and I have continued to strengthen that skillset by majoring in English and consistently checking my own writing for errors. I also have experience correcting grammar in both third grade and college-level writing, so I feel qualified to tutor any level of grammar. Thank you for your consideration, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
Proofreading

Proofreading

As an English major, I write a hefty amount of papers. A large part of the writing process is editing your own work, but also the work of others, and as such, a significant portion of my undergraduate studies have involved peer editing. I also have experience proofreading third-grade writing, which focuses on different mechanics than college-level editing. Because of the range in my proofreading experience, I feel confident in my ability to communicate and explain any suggestions in a kind, helpful way.

Reading

As an English major, I've taken upper-division and honors-level courses, which were structured around discussion and analysis of texts. With a Literature concentration, I take more of those discussion-based courses, which means that I have even more exposure to thinking critically and explaining to others how I reached my conclusions from the text. Because of that experience with analysis and communication, I feel confident in my ability to tutor reading--whether you need help with comprehension, pronunciation, or analysis, I would love to help! ACT English,

ACT English

I still remember how anxiety-provoking standardized tests can be. However, with self-practice, I was able to improve my composite ACT score, and go on to major in English, and I would love to help others meet their goals for the ACT as well. A large part of my major revolves around essays--from grammar mechanics to style, I have experience with correcting and refining texts, which is a major component of the English subject test. Because of my own experience with the ACT and my subsequent experience with proofreading and revision, I feel qualified to tutor for the English ACT subject test. Thank you for your consideration, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
ACT Reading,

ACT Reading

Two major components of the ACT Reading subject test are comprehension and speed. As an English major, I read constantly and regularly complete timed exams similar to the Reading subject test, so to succeed in my major, I have found ways to help myself with both pacing and comprehension. My experience with strengthening my reading techniques makes me confident that I can help others grow in those skill sets as well. Thank you for your consideration, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
