I’m an aspiring chemical engineering student who loves using chemistry, math, and physics to solve real-world problems. I do this as a hobby and am trying to make something of it as a career! I am currently in a gap year after finishing my masters in Food Science where I am taking this time to prepare for a Ph.D. in Chemical engineering.

During my many years as a student and tutor, I have gained a great passion for the learning process and finding successful techniques that help myself and others best understand the topic at hand. I understand that not everyone needs help in the same way. It is my goal to first understand your needs as a student so that I can tailor lessons in the ways you need. Whether it is through solving problems, working through concepts and intuition, or just helping you sanity check. I generally like to accomplish this by either answering your questions one by one or providing a more lecture-based approach where we cover several topics related to your query. Based on previous students' needs, lessons usually have taken on a combination of these approaches.

While I have not officially tutored math before, I have an extensive background in topics ranging from algebra, calculus, mathematical static’s, and geometry. I have not only been successful in these topics, but I have used them often in advanced coursework and during my masters research.

During my undergraduate studies, I took about 4 years of chemistry courses and performed very well in them. I had the opportunity to tutor for multiple chemistry courses for nearly two years as a result. Using the approaches I described above, I have helped many struggling students successfully turn around their grades to become strong chemistry students.

I hope to make the tutoring experience as comfortable and beneficial to you as possible. Feel free to message me with new ideas, what to focus on, or if you need to reschedule. As I am a student, I will do my best to be in contact as soon as I can.

Subjects

Homeschool

Calculus,

Calculus

I have taken and performed well in math courses ranging from calculus to linear algebra and partial differential equations. My passion for mathematics has led me to regularly use this material in engineering courses and my own master's thesis research for solving practical and theoretical problems. I believe my background in tutoring complicated subjects such as chemistry will work well in tandem with tutoring Calculus.
Chemistry

Chemistry

During my undergraduate studies, I took two standard intro to chemistry classes, two organic chemistry classes, and one course in biochemistry. From there I also took chemistry specific to my degree, such as food, analytical, and dairy chemistry. I also tutored chemistry courses for about 2 years throughout this period where my understanding and ability to break down complex chemistry topics became second nature. Moreover, throughout graduate school, I gained advanced training in chemistry via coursework and research.
