I hold a TEFL Certification and a Substitute Teachers License. In addition, I have a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Franklin University. I was born in Bulgaria and moved to United States of America in 1990.
My dedication, discipline, self-motivation and perseverance. I have always worked in a fast-paced environment and been a part of a team. Attention to detail and problem-solving are big part of my work ethic.
I like to teach my students based on my leadership skills. I would use my ambition, discipline and motivation skills to show students that hard work is required but it pays off at the end. In addition, I like to use a coaching style teaching approach. First, show students how its done - read it, explain it and pronounce it, then have the students repeat in several times until I see they get it. I would also reinforce the newly-learned subject by using visual aids, board games, puzzles and role-playing. I would finish up my lesson with homework that we can review the next time, which would show me their retention level. I hold a TEFL Certification and a Substitute Teachers License. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I was born and raised in Bulgaria. I moved to the USA in 1990 after finishing high school. I have spoken Bulgarian for more than forty years.
