I am currently working towards my doctorate of epidemiology at The Ohio State University. My research focuses on water and human health interactions. I am a graduate from Drexel University, where I earned a Master of Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Biological Science. In the past I served as the Lab Director for Drexel University at Burlington County College, where I taught lab courses and helped prepare the laboratory curriculum for biology students. I have also served as an adjunct professor at Temple University, Burlington County College and National University of Equatorial Guinea, where I taught biostatsitics, nutrition, and microbiology and tropical field studies. As a teacher I am encouraging, high-energy, and flexible. I love to help students reach their full potential by motivating them, helping them to fully understand concepts, and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.
When I am not working with students I spend my free time reading, volunteering with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, playing volleyball, running, and SCUBA diving. My "little sister" and I spend time together at museums, playing basketball, cooking, baking, and sometimes just going for walks. I love to stay busy and spend time with other positive, high-spirited people.

Alexis and I worked on my labs for my class. She is very patient and helps me to understand the concepts rather than just finding the answer. I find her to very helpful and she explains the concepts very well.
Alexis is very patient, soft spoken but confident, very familiar with SAT material. We worked on math mostly, per my request, but she also helped prepare me by going over what is needed for test day to be sure that I am physically prepared and have all the needed materials. I feel very prepared to take the SAT this weekend thanks to Alexis.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken multiple biostatistics courses on the college level, including multivariate biostatistic and modern computational methods for biostatsitics. I have taught undergraduate biostatistics to public health students, and have tutored multiple students in biostatsitics. I am competent utilizing multiple statistical packages including R, SPSS, and STATA.
