Ohio State University (Electrical Engineer)
My name is Jacqueline and I am graduate from the Ohio State University. During the past 5 years I have helped middle school, high school, and college students with their studies in Math, English, Spanish, and Engineering subjects. Presently, I specialize in tutoring Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Spanish. Although my first language is in fact Spanish, I am fully bilingual and am able to explain any subject in either language.
As an experienced tutor I understand that every student is different and not all tutors will fill the needs of a specific student. For this reason, I offer a free consultation meeting to prospective students. Although I do require a 24-hour cancellation notice, I offer make-up classes.
I am an electrical engineer and have extensive knowledge on numerous math subjects. I have taken numerous courses including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra. I also have experience tutoring middle school, high school, and college students in various math subjects.
I am originally from Puerto Rico, which makes Spanish my first language. I have taken 12+ years of English courses and am fully bilingual. I also have experience helping high school and college students with their Spanish courses.

She was well prepared even though we were not, she picked up and jumped right in. My son is not the best at asking for help but she was great, kept him focused.
Jacqueline was able to meet with us on short notice and worked on teaching core concepts of high school algebra. The one-on-one attention has already helped my daughter with her understanding and self confidence. Great tutor!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
