I have taught my own children, two of which are college graduates and one is a Junior in homeschool with an honors GPA. My greatest tutoring strength for high school is American History and music (guitar and/or songwriting). I have been in business 30 years and most recently ran my own division of a global company. I am now a full time professor in marketing and logistics and have been an adjunct professor in the past as well, focusing on marketing and ecommerce. I can tutor in general business, marketing, logistics, and supply chain. Musically, I am proficient in songwriting and guitar (I was a musician and songwriter in the 80's in Nashville, TN) and can teach guitar method or general guitar playing in addition to songwriting.
My philosophy on tutoring is very simple: We meet, we understand where you are struggling and I work with you to bring the concepts alive so you can do more than pass a test. Depending on your need, we will likely need only a few sessions to get you where you need to be but I'm also happy to work with you as long as you feel you need. I also do career counseling / coaching at the same rate. Let me know how I can help. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
