I have five years of experience managing juvenile court diversion programs for court-involved families and youth, including first-time offenders, and felony youth on parole from State Institutions. I have co-authored publications in family-based assessment of court-involved youth, crime prevention, and restorative justice. As a graduate student, I served a year internship at the Ohio Department of Youth Services, assisting the Deputy Director of Parole, Courts, and Community Services. Graduate-level coursework I completed included Psychology of Delinquency, Adolescent Problem Behaviors in Context, Corrections, Understanding and Preventing Homicide, and Criminal Justice Policy and Leadership.

I have expertise in Structural Equation Modeling using AMOS. In 2002 I served as Senior Research Analyst on a Federal project, and from 2003-2008 I served as Assistant Director of Program Evaluation at a University Center. Since 2008 I have served as an independent consultant to education and human service agencies, and from 2011-2012 I served as Director of Program Evaluation and Research at a large non-profit in the Greater Cincinnati area. Finally, I have served as lead analyst on several publications that I have co-authored. In most cases, SPSS has been one of the the main packages I have used. Enthusiasm Contagious

Dr. Charles continues to inspire me and to make enjoyable a subject that seemed scary-statistics. His careful planning of lesson and excellent presentation of subject matter made all the difference.

Great help with my statistics questions

Charles was right on time, listened well to my questions and background of my issues, and engaged in a thoughtful discussion about them. I really needed someone to help as a sounding board and to advise me on a few SPSS matters, and he was terrific at that.

Great tutor

Dr. Chip is a great tutor. He is very patient and takes the time to explain things that you don't understand. He assesses your needs and addresses them accordingly. He has been working with me on statistics and even though numbers and I don't get along, he makes it seem less complicated. I would definitely recommend him!
