I love teaching and tutoring! And I am excellent at both!

I love teaching because students achieve improvement in their academics with me and I enjoy helping in that success. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience. Most of all, I love seeing the growth in my students.

I love teaching because students achieve improvement in their academics with me and I enjoy helping in that success. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience. Most of all, I love seeing the growth in my students.

I have extensive experience in teaching and in tutoring. For example, I am an award-winning teacher of high school and junior high science. I am also a very highly regarded adjunct professor of finance, having taught a wide range of classes to undergraduate and graduate students at two universities.

I also have extensive experience tutoring students in biology, environmental science, chemistry, algebra, microeconomics and macroeconomics.

I am an outstanding math tutor, especially in one-on-one situations. I have tutored students in Algebra 1, Econometrics and Statistics for several years and, consistently, those students have shown significant improvement in their classroom performance since they have worked with me. One of my special attributes is the ability to understand how each student learns and to tailor my teaching style to that learning style.

All of my academic training (through Ph.D) is in Biology so I am uniquely qualified as a biology tutor. In addition to my Bachelor's degree in Biology, for example, I was invited to be a member of both the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and the Sigma Xi honor society in science.

I have taught Biology, Environmental Science and other science classes to both high school students and junior high school students and did so with great success, having won an award for Most outstanding Teacher. I have also been a tutor in Biology and Environmental Science (as well as Chemistry).

Econometrics

Econometrics

I have spent 30 years developing mathematical models for application in risk management at financial institutions across the world. Many of those models were based upon econometrics in which measures of the performance of banks (dependent variable) were predicted from measures of the US economy (independent variables) using general linear modeling techniques. As such, I fully understand all of the important variables that measure the U.S. macro-economy as well as the statistical approaches and challenges in relating those variables to the performance of individual firms. These models have been applied in many different applications, most notably the stress testing programs now required of US and European commercial banks.
