Tutoring students of all ages has provided me with joy and a sense of satisfaction. I have dedicated my entire life to achieving a quality education in the area of social work administration, nonprofit management and business administration to provide expert services and resources for student success. As a freshman, I have provided tutoring support using my skills obtained through communities, workforce development, academia, and served as a volunteer for nonprofit organizations, business corporations, federated campaigns, business entity, and human services.
Helping students to gain a better understanding of their primary concerns means delivering guidance and support. Enhancing student goals for the future is structured by offering step-by-step methods to enable each students to progress towards self-esteem and self-sufficiency with a focus on self-awareness to move in the direction for achievement of new enterprises.
My computer qualifications include Certificates of Completion for Microsoft and Microsoft Word.
Business qualifications include a master's degree in nonprofit management and completion of graduate courses in the area of business administration. Skills include nonprofit management, board of governance and executive functions, fundraising, grant and proposal writing and all phases of program management for nonprofit start-ups until completion. Additional business skills include, completion of graduate level courses comprising of leadership, research, running business operations, team building, and all phases of business administration.
As a tutor, my job is to help you to meet your needs using compassion, expert decision-making, support and an unlimited amount of time that is comfortable for all students. I have proven skills and expertise necessary to promote nonprofit management, business administration, academia, continuous learning, growth, and entrepreneurial leadership. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am qualified to serve as a tutor for Wyz Ant in the area of nonprofit management and business administration based on my graduate degrees, graduate level courses leading to an adjunct professional in nonprofit management and leadership for health and human services, and I possess field experience. In 2007, I obtained a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, Cleveland State University, Cleveland, Ohio. Upon completion of my graduate certificate, for ten years, I have applied my skills consulting and providing program management and oversight for thirty-one nonprofit organizations under the umbrella of Cuyahoga County Department of Justice Services Criminal Justice Services and Cuyahoga. In 2013, I earned a Master of Nonprofit Management and Leadership Degree, Capella University, Minneapolis, MN along with completing minor courses in college teaching theory and methods of educating adults.
As a program officer for County Department of Health and Human Services Family and Children First Council (i.e., the planning unit of Cuyahoga County) my duties comprise of attending executive leadership meetings, collecting data and managing a database, serving as a coordinator and liaison for fundraising projects, monitoring programmatic budgets, and delivering program oversight for nonprofit organizations. Also, I serve as a volunteer consultant for United Way of Greater Cleveland providing expertise for programmatic operations delivering guidance and direction for nonprofit organizations.
As a business leader, I served as a property manager for seventeen years in the area of leasing apartments contracted through Cuyahoga County Metropolitan Housing Authority and Urban Development, Cleveland, Ohio. At present, I am working towards completing my Masters of Business Administration Corporate Finance, Walden University, Minneapolis, MN online with a completion date June 23, 2016. My experience in the area of business administration comprises writing federal grant proposals for law enforcement agencies and community policing, qualitative research, team building, leadership, strategic planning and management, monitoring budgets, consulting community groups, engaging dignitaries, counseling entrepreneurs who aspire business ownership, and attending business conferences.
I am qualified to serve as a tutor in the area of project management based on work experience, academics, engagement with nonprofit practitioners and business firms whom I monitored business practices. I have earned a Master of Business Administration and I have a degree in Social Science Administration.
As a Program Officer for Cuyahoga County Administration, Cleveland, Ohio, I have managed projects for nonprofit organizations through civic engagement for a period of ten years. my project management experience consists of after school programs for children and youth, primary and secondary child abuse and neglect, and I have coordinated fundraising projects for Harvest for Hunger.
At present, I manage a database, which consists of contract monitoring, site visits, reviewing budgets, mentoring, leadership coaching, filtering, cleaning and managing data.
On a quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis, I prepare demographic reports for projects based on data collection and analyzing pretest and post-test surveys.
