I'm Michael V., a 23 year-old male with a passion for teaching/tutoring in areas ranging from English and literacy to a wide array of social sciences including anthropology, sociology and psychology. I'm currently a job coach working with the mentally ill population. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and minor in sociology from Cleveland State University. I graduated at the top of my class with a 3.9 GPA, Summa Cum Laude. My academic career was supplemented by multiple academic scholarships for my achievements. During my time at Cleveland State, I helped to successfully tutor students in English, math and science classes.
I prefer one-on-one tutoring, and enjoy working with students in engaged learning. I believe critical thinking to be the most essential teaching tool in helping to facilitate extraordinary education.
I would love to be able to provide my tutoring services in helping them reach their educational goals. My passion is inspiring students academically. Please contact me if you have any questions! I look forward to working with you! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
