I am a teacher with 19 years of experience. My main experience is in teaching grades 1-3. I am also a wife and mother of 3 boys in grades 5, 8, and 10. I understand the learning process from both the parent and the teachers perspective. I have seen the changes in education over the years and know how frustrating it can be to watch your child struggle with a concept that they are trying to learn.
As a teacher, I understand that every child has a different learning style. All children can learn, it is our job to find out the best way to teach each child. Children are also developmentally ready to learn at different stages, we must know when the child is developmentally ready to learn. I have many resources available to me to help children to learn. Having taught for 19 years, I have the experience and patience to help children to learn to read and be a success in school. I am a teacher with 19 years of experience. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
