Cleveland State University (Music)
Though I have a degree in music (I play classical guitar), I am, also good in math (up to and including calculus). I can read, write, speak, and understand Spanish. I've written about 30 programs in C++, mostly involving graphics programming. One of these programs is about 12,000 lines in length not including the INCLUDE files and generates sheet music... I compose and perform classical, and jazz music. I can improvise both classical and jazz music.
I have about 7 years of experience teaching music to adults and children. I am a patient person and I seldom get angry. It takes a lot of negativity for me to get angry. I believe in the Christian principle "treat others as you would have them treat yourself". I get along well with my superiors, peers, and underlings. If I am at fault in anything I will readily admit it. Though I have a degree in music (I play classical guitar), I am, also good in math (up to and including calculus). In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have 9 years teaching experience to both adults and children.
I have a command of the subject matter, i.e. algebra 1.
I have about 9 years experience in teaching one on one. I am a patient, intelligent person. I am kind and helpful and can have insight into problems a student might have in a particular subject. I have a degree in music, but before I was a music major I was a chemistry major, so I took a lot of advanced math courses at the university.
I have a BMUS in classical guitar performance. I have 7+ years guitar teaching experience. My last student studied 4 of his high school years with me and went on to Cleveland State University as a music major with a scholarship. I teach music theory as it relates to the guitar. I have use of two computer programs that I wrote. One generates sheet music that you can enter explanatory text on. Another program prints up to 12 chord diagrams with musical notation beside it in colors which you select the red, green,
blue components. I love to teach and I love my students. I perform on my guitar at a local nursing home every Sunday.
I have teaching experience in various subjects. I am comfortable with pre-algebra math. I would be happy to tutor your student in math.
I have a high aptitude for math. I studied calculus in the university.
I've taught various subjects to adults, teens, and children.
I took trigonometry in high school, but I used it at the university for my calculus class. I am pretty good in trigonometry.
