Currently I am working as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. I have extensive experience in economics and statistics, both academically and professionally.
As an adjunct faculty member in the economics department, I have experience teaching college-level economics. I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring for economics, accounting, and business at the college level.
I believe that everyone learns differently, so I try to personalize each tutoring session to the specific needs of the student. I also make sure to relate the subject matter to the "real world" as much as possible, and show why the topic is important to learn.
I have a passion for economics and believe it is one of the most important and exciting subjects to learn. Passing on my enthusiasm and love for the subject is one of my great joys in life. The moment when I see a student grasp a concept is the best feeling for me. Currently I am working as a Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. I have extensive experience in economics and statistics, both academically and professionally.
As an adjunct faculty member
I will do group sessions (up to 4) at $70/hour, billed to the student who schedules the session. Other students can reimburse that person directly.
Charlotte has the ability to take an impossible teaching situation (i.e. getting me to learn economics in a very short amount of time) and hitting a home run. She is able to take hard concepts and turn them in to every day practical learning situations that make sense. Charlotte is very personable, professional, and responsive. I highly recommend her for your tutorial needs!
Charlotte is excellent and very patient. She did NOT rush through any of the material and helped me to better understand the accounting principles. She is educated in all aspects of Excel and accounting principles, which was very helpful. Without her, I would be lost. I appreciate all of the guidance and help. She challenged me to think through the concepts and principles on my own, which was also very helpful when trying to learn the material. She is simply the best tutor around. Make sure you contact her for help!
Charlotte tutored me for a college statistics course and really helped me understand the material from class. Her tutoring schedule was extremely flexible; she was able to meet with me whenever I needed the help. I received a response from her soon after initially contacting her, and we began tutoring that same week, which was awesome because I needed as many lessons as possible before the semester ended. Highly recommend!
Charlotte is by far the best educator and simplifies the subject matter. I struggled in a graduate statistics class and she helped organize and explain the information so I could understand and apply it. She is extremely patient and easy to get along with. I would definitely recommend Charlotte to students struggling because she will do what it takes to help you succeed.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
