Hello student or parent,
Being a recent graduate with a masters degree in physiology, I know how overwhelming it can be to have a a big exam coming up with many chapters of material to learn. During my undergraduate career I developed many useful approaches to tackling the academic rigors associated with studying biological science at the college level and I would love to pass along these techniques to other college or high school students. I also have a passion for making complex scientific ideas understandable to almost anyone, and have been urged by friends and family to pursue an academic career in the sciences. I also have real world experience and have worked in hospitals and research labs. Additionally, I am knowledgeable and available to help with writing of almost any kind, whether it be a term paper, a creative fiction, or a research proposal. Writing is a passion of mine and I have had a lot of success in helping my peers to edit and proofread their writing.
In terms of who I am as a person: I am very straightforward. I value the truth immensely and you will always get my honest thoughts and opinions.
I look forward to meeting students that I can help to improve their academic standing and confidence in their natural abilities.
Thanks for reading!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been playing the drums for 10+ years. I am not classically trained, and honestly could not teach or tutor in the rudiments or the reading of drum music notation. However, I can definitely teach a beginner of any age the basics of how to "jam." I have played in many bands, recorded in grammy nominated studios, and played on stage in front of large audiences. So if you are looking for someone to show you the ropes and you are not looking for a Berklee graduate who will talk to you about odd time signatures, syncopated polyrhythms, and progressive-funk-jazz-math-metal (Huh? What does all of that mean? Whoooo Knows?), then maybe I could have something to teach you. In other words, I am more about feel and dynamics than rudiments and complex music theory.
