I am an experienced professional in teaching. I taught Spanish for 15 years in different schools (public and private with French system)in Madagascar. I am able to tutor and teach French as well, because it's my official language and the language of teaching in general. I taught to international students. I came to the United states in 2005 and gave private French and Spanish lessons to some American students. I tutor grammar and conversational French, and teach all levels of Spanish through 12th grade.

Joseane is very kind and patient, she is helpful in developing french conversation and comprehension. She tailors the lesson to the student's needs.
My 2 boys (aged 8 and 6) have just had their 2nd lesson with Joseane. She is very calm and gentle with them, and she is encouraging my reluctant 6 year old by reminding him of the basics of the French language (He had 2 years of French schooling in Europe). At the same time, she stretches and challenges the more accomplished older boy so that they are both getting the most out of the lesson. We are very pleased!
Feb 13th, 2015: Having worked with Joseanne for 4 months now, the boys are making good progress. In the past few weeks, however, I realized that the cold weather and lack of opportunity to play outside during the day and let off steam, meant they were being a little challenging during the lesson. I really appreciated how Joseanne changed the plan of the lesson and offered more fun and games to help the learn but in a more gentle way. Their progress may not be as speedy as it has been, but she has been able to keep their interest and continue the learning process. Thank you!
Joseane is very knowledgeable and very patient. She provides quite a bit of help to our student.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
