About Jeff

I recently completed my Master's Degree (4.0 GPA) in New Testament Studies, with an emphasis on Greek language and New Testament exegesis (extra course work in these areas). I am very familiar with existing textbooks for learning New Testament Greek (esp. Mounce, Wallace, Black) and acquainted with the difficulties beginning students face in learning Greek. I currently serve as a teaching assistant to a professor who is teaching Greek at a well-known Christian university/seminary.

My schedule is flexible. Let me know if I can help you!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Greek

After a career as a Chemical Engineer, in 2014 I completed my Master's Degree in Biblical Studies - New Testament from Cincinnati Christian University, with a 4.0 GPA. I completed 15 course hours of work specifically in NT Greek and exegesis (more than required), as well as other New Testament courses where Greek language skills were essential. I am currently serving as a teaching assistant for a professor who teaches an online Greek class at Hope International University, grading papers and providing input to students as they work through an introductory Greek class. I am well acquainted with the major textbooks used to teach NT Greek in colleges and seminaries, including those by Mounce, Wallace, and Black.
