About Kyle

As a student still myself, I know that school can be challenging. Whether it be a poor teacher or just a tough course, where you are having trouble understanding, I can help. I am a college student who has gone through high school recently and knows what to expect and the best way to succeed in it and throughout college, unlike older tutors. I graduated from Bishop Gorman High School in the top 10% of my class with a 3.99 unweighted GPA. Right now I am a 2nd year student studying biomedical engineering while completing pre medicine prerequisites at the University of Cincinnati.

I have expertise in math, science, english, basic computer skills, SAT/ACT prep, etc. I have done volunteer tutoring for awhile as well, so I also have experience. My approach is to instill in the students how to succeed in their courses or endeavors (SAT/ACT) and to use the study techniques and skills learned and apply them to later years in high school or college. My goal is for the student to walk away and have genuinely learned more than they did going in and that they are satisfied.

I am pretty flexible on cancellation policies, giving the student a several hour window to reschedule or cancel due to something coming up in which the student cannot be tutored at that time. I am open to suggestion if you believe my techniques can be improved and or are unsatisfied. I look forward to hearing from you so we can help you on the way to success.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Differential Equations

Upon succeeding in calculus I and calculus II, I moved on to differential equations, as well. I just recently passed this course with a 90% in the class, so it is fresh and I know what I am doing.

MATLAB

I have taken three courses thus far on MATLAB. I just finished the third course recently, in which I received a high A in the class. I thus have a lot of experience in the subject

Track & Field

I have been running for several years now competitively as a distance runner. As such, I know how to get faster and how to stay healthy to make sure you succeed as well. I have also been an assistant coach for cross country and track teams at both middle school and high school levels
