My name is Daniel. I am a Masters graduate from UC in Literacy and Second Language Studies. I am fluent in Spanish with over 15 years of expert experience learning and teaching the language. I love languages and truly enjoy helping people achieve their language learning goals. As a qualified tutor, I can guarantee you the highest quality, results-oriented tutoring or private classes available. Some of the benefits that you can expect by working with me include:
•An effective approach towards teaching that focuses on student needs, while simplifying and contextualizing typically problematic areas of foreign language learning
•My students tend to go from ZERO Spanish to reaching fluency in short time periods. Additionally, they tend to be the most overachieving students in supplemental courses
•I build great relationships with my students and empower them to really take control of their own learning
•Very reliable and prompt in responding to students
•I am trained and experienced in working with both K-12 and adults
•I am centrally located and free to meet most anywhere in the Tri-State area, anytime of day
•Available to my students 7 days a-week when they have additional out-of-class questions or are in need of clarifications or an extra lesson
•Flexible scheduling and very fair hourly rates
Reviews from current and previous students:
"Daniel takes the time to prepare for our sessions and will tailor the sessions to what I'm learning in class. Most tutors will come unprepared and spend half the session catching up."
"Daniel is genuinely passionate about the Spanish language. Because he really loves it and speaks it on a daily basis, he is really able to help in ways that people who are just 'familiar' with the language are not. He is also very non-judgmental when it comes to a student's difficulties and weaknesses. I don't feel stupid when I tell him that I don't get something."
Please contact me if you are serious about taking your Spanish to the next level. I look really forward to helping you achieve your goals!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I love teaching Spanish and many of my students agree that it comes very naturally to me. I love watching my students conquer hurdles they once thought impossible and speak and comprehend Spanish with natives. I am qualified at the Master's level to teach foreign languages and have studied, worked, and lived in Spanish-speaking countries for years to go with speaking Spanish for over half my life. I'd love the opportunity to work with you!
