Early Childhood Education (Other)
I am a graduate of Walsh University with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, I have worked with children for ten years in various age groups. I have worked with school age in a before and after school setting. There I helped children with their homework and I have also tutored a child while at the program. I'm currently a preschool teacher at a private church preschool in North Canton.
I love working with children and helping them learn the concepts that they need to know to succeed. I am whiling to learn along with the children, if I don't know a concept then I will do everything I need to do to become familiar with the topic. My goal to each of our session is to keep the children engaged and interested in the subject, but not overwhelmed. I will bring fun and engaging activities to each session. I may or may not assign homework, depending on the requirements and the need of the students.
I am generally available to tutor M-F 6pm-8pm. I also am willing to tutor on Saturdays starting at 10am. I am willing to travel, but it has to be close by. I prefer to meet in a public area (library works best). Please contact me and we will work out the details.
I'm looking forward to helping your child out, please contact me if you are interested.
I know the newest concepts and familiar with the new standards.
I have a good understanding with common core and can help your child.
I have worked with many elementary students and have the most experience with my observations and student teaching.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am familiar and have worked with the Common Core standards in my student teaching experience and also through my schooling. I have taught lessons using the standards and I have even helped students with their assignment that are based on the Common Core standards. These standards can be a little more complicated but they help your child become prepared to succeed in college, career, and life.
I am well experience in working with younger children and teaching them how to hold their pencil right and to have good letter formation. I have taught preschool for over five years, and letter formation/ handwriting is required skills to have. I also feel that I am very patient and will make sure that your child is forming their letters right.
