Thank you for considering me to help you with your goals. I have many years of experience in tutoring students individually, and I spent my college years working in the writing center helping students pass the required Freshman English course. I enjoy helping people see why grammar and punctuation are important, and I can help you find a tedious subject more interesting by using humor and real life examples.
I have been working in the public library for more than 18 years, and I have helped hundreds of students from elementary to college improve their ability to express themselves well. People who know me consider me a grammar nerd. It's not often you find someone who loves commas!
I am a degreed professional with an undergraduate degree in English and a master's degree in Library and Information Science. I am also a professional proofreader for an author and for three different organizations. I can help you write better, review your work, understand grammar rules and complete your homework or paper.
The most important thing that you need to know is that I am very kind and patient. I will be truly invested in your learning and in your success. I look forward to working with you. Again, I appreciate your consideration. Thank you for considering me to help you with your goals. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
