My name is Teresa, and I am a licensed teacher in Ohio (Grades 1-8, All Subjects). For 19+ years, I have taught in a variety of educational settings, from elementary schools through middle school to international and undergraduates as well as homeschooling my own children. Currently, I am a substitute teacher and substitute instructional aide with the Bowling Green City School District. I hold a M.A. in Cross Cultural and International Education, a M.Ed. in Reading, and a B.S. in Education from Bowling Green State University.
I am a life-long learner and enjoy many volunteer and community activities, and strongly believe in bringing the real world into every learning opportunity. I have participated as a living history re-enactor, volunteered as a planning team member for an international service group, actively participated in election day services, and belonged to an herbal society that tends to local historical gardens.
I believe in actively engaging students and involving them in the learning process as well as encouraging their interests and natural talents as part of their studies and developing ideas for learning and completely tasks and assigned work. Greetings!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
