University of Toledo (Bioengineering with minor in Chemistry)
Hello! I am 24 years old and a very experienced tutor in Math (algebra, trig, geometry, calc and stats) and Science (chem, physics and biology).
I recently graduated from the University of Toledo in Bioengineering with a minor in Chemistry and emphasis in BioChemistry. Basically all that means is that I have knowledge in all areas of science and know how to use that knowledge to solve problems. Being an engineer, I know how to apply math to real world situations, and because of this I can relate mathematical methods and rules very easily to students.
I have tutored over 25 different people in several subjects and levels over about 8 years. I know from multiple experiences that having a personal 1-on-1 tutor can make a drastic difference in a student's academic success. It can be tough for many students to focus in a lecture type environment, so having an interactive tutor working directly with the student is very beneficial.
My top priority is the student and to offer the best educational assistance in order for the student to succeed. I first help the student to get organized so that they have a system in place to know where homework is at, when it is due, and when quizzes and test are coming up. Next, I go over the subjects they are learning and determine where the student is struggling the most. Finally, I give many examples for the student to go over, especially in the areas where he/she is struggling.
I would love the chance to help you or your child succeed in your/their education. Feel free to contact me, and I look forward to working with you! Hello! I am 24 years old and a very experienced tutor in Math (algebra, trig, geometry, calc and stats) and Science (chem, physics and biology).

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have tutored over 6 students in Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, and is one of my favorite subjects. Being an engineer I use Algebra concepts everyday. Having much experience and real world examples to provide makes myself very qualified as an Algebra 2 tutor.
I am an engineer, so I have extensive knowledge in all math areas, but I also have much experience in teaching and tutoring others in math. From my experiences I know how to relate math in a simple and effective way to students who struggle with it.
