B.A., University of Cincinnati (Special Education)
Hi, I am currently a student at UC main campus. I am a junior in college and I am majoring in Special Education math and Language Arts. I have an associates degree in Fine Arts through UC. I recently worked at an Elementary School in WestClermont for 3 years as a ParaProfessional (aid) for students PK-5. I have experience with students needing extra support and students with disabilities. Within a year I will have my Bachelors degree in Special Education as a HQT (Highly qualified teacher) in Math and Language Arts. With this being my junior year of college in education I am student teaching quite often so I am looking to make some extra money through tutoring. I enjoy working with students and providing extra support. I am very passionate about teaching and enjoy the relationships that are created throughout my experiences with my students.
I was a Paraprofessional for 3 years and I mainly supported students who needed help with Math and Language Arts. Throughout my college career I have taken math classes that go as far as Calculus 101, my content GPA for mathematics through the University is a 3.6.
I enjoy providing extra support for students in need, I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you are falling behind in classes and homework. I also know what it is like to struggle with test anxiety. I hope to provide assistance for you in the future for whatever you may need, so reach out and let's begin! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
