About Jennifer

I have been teaching, tutoring and subbing for over 15 years. I've taught in Ohio, Nebraska and Massachusetts. I am currently the building sub at Batavia Elementary. I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and I am currently taking classes to earn my Special Education Certificate.

I have worked with children of all needs, but I feel draw to those with exceptional needs. I have a child who has ADHD, OCD, Aspergers and depression. I understand how hard it can be on a parent and a teacher with a child who has special needs. I feel I bring compassion, experience and a wealth of knowledge to anyone struggling in this area.

Teaching is my passion and I feel every student will succeed with the right encouragement and tools. It's our job as a teacher and a parent to get them prepared and become a successful adult. I am very flexible when it comes to a schedule. I know how hectic and crazy life can be. We can make a set schedule for the week, two weeks or month! Please feel free to contact me by email at anytime. I will do my best to respond to you within 24 hours.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
