Madonna University (Video Communications)
Hi there! I love to teach people how to use computers, particularly photography and video editing.
With over a decade of experience with most Adobe products and years of professional corporate work with Final Cut Pro, I can help you create great commercials, documentaries, YouTube shorts, web promotions and more.
I created and maintained a profitable video department for a national publication for around seven years. During that time I taught a number of new interns how to create videos like my award-winning work, and we ended up hiring them!
I use Premiere and After Effects every day in my freelance work. I also do photography, videography, editing and marketing for a non-profit midwest convention.
I am friendly, professional and patient. I'm chock full of good metaphors to help you understand tricky concepts, and I can pull together a demonstration for anything you'd like to master.
Please contact me with your needs and availability, and we can work something out.

I have been using Adobe Photoshop professionally for over a decade - first as a web designer for Compuware, then during my education at Madonna University, then as a professional wedding photographer and web designer. I used it every day during my eight years at Crain Communications as the director and editor of a daily news show - cropping, color correction, and graphics creation. I designed penguicon.org and ofsken.com from scratch using Photoshop and other Adobe suite products, and used Photoshop to create the graphics for the What is Penguicon? video I linked in my Video Production qualifications.
During my B.A. in TV/Video Comm, I passed out of photography, and I went straight to photography II due to my experience as a wedding and behind-the-scenes photographer. Along with 35mm and digital photography, I also have spent significant time in the dark room.
I am the head of marketing for the non-profit convention Penguicon. I did the weekend photography for the last convention, using a Canon 5d which we rented for the occasion, along with a pair of wide angle low light lenses.
I collect old cameras, as well.
Besides my degree in TV/Video Comm, I was the founder of the Broadcast Club at my school, and helped others learn through that. At my job as Director and Editor for Crain Communications I won awards for the last three consecutive years, and trained all interns in our daily video production
I shot and edited my most recent project for the non-profit convention Penguicon, which can be found through their web site.
