Hi, I'm Megan! I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics, and also received my Master's of Science in Pure Mathematics. I also hold a teaching certification in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Math has always been a passion of mine since I was little, and my goal is to spread that passion and excitement of math to all of my students! While I understand math tends to be a subject a lot of students struggle with and dislike, I hope to make math easy for them and dare I say even fun at times!

During my undergraduate degree, I was asked to participate in a work study to be a math tutor for the math department. I was able to help students understand a range of topics. In graduate school, I was asked to be a graduate assistant for College Algebra where I had the opportunity to work directly with the students in the class and engage them in study sessions before their tests. Then, right out of graduate school, I got a full time job as a 10th grade Geometry teacher. After about a year and a half, I had the amazing opportunity to be a college-level math instructor, where I currently work. My biggest accomplishment is receiving the "Faculty of the Year" award after my first year of working there! I have the opportunity to inspire college students to understand how math can benefit them in their current and future lives. I have been professionally freelance tutoring for the college and for other businesses for over 7 years.

I have lots of experience tutoring students grades 6 through 12 and college-level. I am able to tutor 6th grade math, 7th grade math, 8th grade math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra II, trigonometry, pre-calculus, and calculus. I also do ACT and SAT prep tutoring as well.

I usually ask for students/parents to provide me with materials 24 hours in advance so I can create an engaging lesson for my students while also anticipating gaps or questions they might have about the subject. I work alongside the student, working them through each problem and making it as most h
