I'm a young business professional who is passionate about business and teaching others in order to help them succeed and accomplish their goals. Both in college and throughout my professional experiences, I have made it a point to take the time to share the knowledge I have with those who ask for help and show they're motivated to learn. Helping others succeed is something that motivates me as I have benefited from the help of others throughout my career.
I hold myself to a high standard and for this reason I will be both dedicated and flexible, understanding that life can be very unpredictable. Also, I will seek feedback in order to help me become a more effective tutor. I believe that even as the tutor, there are always opportunities to learn from the student.
Throughout my career I have been able to develop strong Excel and data analysis skills, as well the ability to compile this information into an effective PowerPoint presentation. I pride myself on teaching myself new skills and features of these programs in order to strengthen my knowledge base and know how to apply what I learn to making analysis and tools more efficient and automated.
I have a variety of business experience from Entrepreneurial Ventures to working for both small and Fortune 500 companies. Although I am a recent December 2014 college graduate, I have 2 years of experience working for Fortune 500 companies, and an additional 3 years working with smaller companies. My experience is across multiple industries, from Telecommunications, to Consumer Products, Coffee and tire and rubber.
I will be flexible with scheduling sessions and have a 24 hour cancellation policy, but will be more than willing to reschedule sessions. I am happy to drive within a 20 mile radius to meet with students, finding quiet places for us to work. I look forward to hearing from you working with you to help you learn and grow! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
