Hello student or parent looking for a reliable Chemistry (or Spanish) tutor! I am a Chemistry instructor by profession. I have been working as an adjunct instructor of Chemistry at a community college in Northeast Ohio since 2007, with great evaluations from my students! I love to help students who struggle with chemistry! I am known and well liked by my students for my ability to explain in simple ways that they can understand and relate to. I know by experience how hard and abstract this subject tend to be for most, and it is my goal not only to help you understand and succeed but also to do it in a fun and interesting way so that you grasp the importance of this subject and learn how to enjoy it! My approach to teaching and tutoring is very down to earth and simple but very professional.
I am also a native Spanish speaking person! I am originally from Puerto Rico. So, I am very capable to naturally help you in your Spanish learning, especially if you are looking for someone to practice your Spanish speaking skills! I am very good at grammar of course. Spanish is my first language! But don't worry, I won't teach you Chemistry in Spanish! I will always use plain and simple English for that! :)
I really hope I can be of help to you!
Please, don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to ask me any questions. It is very important that you feel confident with your tutor, and find the right fit. I totally understand! I will be happy to address your concerns/questions before you make any decision to choose me as your tutor. I wish you the best in your search! Noraida is VERY patient! She's able to break down difficult concepts, into smaller, understandable pieces, so you retain what you are learning. She brought several visual aids that were so helpful during studying (ie. practice tests, flow charts, diagrams ect.) She's worth EVERY PENNY!
Thank you so much Cheneille! I am so happy I was able to help you understand those chemistry concepts!
She is super helpful in going over information and explaining it in new ways that help me to understand it. I aced my first quiz after studying with her. I'm sure my test tomorrow will go great also!!
Noraida is a great tutor who is detailed, patient, kind and very accommodating. She has the ability to explain in simple ways so that you can understand and relate to the subject. She also provided extra material to help follow the session for additional learning. I have had 2 sessions with her to prepare for a test and upcoming exam in which she was very helpful. I will continue the sessions until the end of my semester and I would highly recommend Noraida if you need a tutor for Chemistry.
Noraida was both organized and flexible and gave a clear lesson to help my daughter understand her Spanish homework and prepare for a quiz.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry
At least 10 years of teaching experience at undergraduate level (college)

My qualification to tutor in this area is the fact that I am a native Spanish speaker. I am also very good at Spanish grammar, conjugations, etc.. I will provide a more real perspective to the student learning Spanish.
