About Kevin

I am a double major in history and psychology with a minor in theater, graduating in April 2012. I have wide experience in all areas of history, American and English literature, and social sciences. In addition, I am an artist with experience in all media, including oil, watercolor, and pastels, as well as theater and costume design and construction.

My approach to tutoring is to determine the student's learning style so that I can provide explanations in the mode best suited to that student and the material. For example, if the student learns history best by writing, I will suggest some writing exercises for them to do. Similarly, if the student learns English best by listening, I will have them read out loud. For artistic areas, I will coach the student in the medium of interest, with tips for how to more easily accomplish some tasks.

I look forward to hearing from you, and helping you with your humanities, art, and social science questions!
