I also taught a pre-engineering class for high school students for the Upward Bound program at the University of Akron from 2001 - 2005. I’m currently teaching a financial literacy class to 6th and 7th grade students at Emanuel Christian Academy and I am a “Seven Habits of Highly effective People” facilitator for adults and teens.
I instinctively observe each student’s learning style, motivation and the way they think to help maximize the student’s strengths while improving upon their weaknesses.
I understand that things come up. However, I have many students that I am working with and need 24 hour advanced notice for a canceled lesson; otherwise, you will be charged my rate. Cancellations must be done via text, and or phone. DO NOT SEND AN EMAIL to cancel a lesson, because I may be working with students and do not have access to the internet. Text is the number one choice, voicemail is second.

My son was in danger of losing his financial aid in college because he could not pass the required math class. Jerrett took the time to help him really understand what he was learning and build a good foundation for his next step. Not only did my son pass the class, he passed with an A! He was even able to help another student. The decision to have private tutoring was well worth it. Without the frustration and stress of trying to learn on his own, he was able to concentrate on his other classes. It was the difference between dropping out of school and going on to get his degree. I can't recommend Jerrett enough.Lesa, 8 lessons with Jerrett

My daughter has not got back the results of her ACT that she was being tutored for, but she did feel much more confident than when she had take the test previously. She worked well with Jerrett.Stephanie, 7 lessons with Jerrett

Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor
Jerrett has been working with my 7th grader since this summer, and continues to work with him to review his math lessons each week. The difference in the start of this school year after having Jerrett work with him over the summer has been wonderful! He brings not only the knowledge of what he worked on over the summer, but more confidence in his abilities. We can't recommend Jerrett enough!Brooke, 43 lessons with Jerrett
Jerret really helped me to understand problems which I thought to be difficult and further helped me to break down everything in order to make it even easier. I look forward to the next session!Davorise , 2 lessons with Jerrett
I would recommend this tutor
Jarrett tutored both of my kids for the ACT. He helped to inspire confidence in them to do well on the ACT. Both of my kids improved their ACT scores. His test taking and study strategies were very valuable. My kids loved their sessions with him, and asked me for more tutoring time with him, but since he is $50 an hour, I had to limit the number of sessions that I could do. Well worth the $50 per hour, though.Karen, 4 lessons with Jerrett
