Before I became a teacher more than a decade ago, I was an award-winning music journalist, editor, and author of books on a wide array of subjects. As a teacher, I have worked in schools that range from "in-need" to one of the top public schools in the country.

I have worked with students ranging from 6th grade to 12th grade, and taught subjects that include English (ELA), Journalism, Composition (essay-writing and grammar focus), and Creative Writing.

I have tutored students through the process of writing essays for school, and have a specialty in helping high school upperclassmen construct their college essays.
