Certified in Special Education K-12, Early Childhood Education, and Childhood Education, my goal is to create an environment that encourages students to become actively engaged in learning. I have taught at every grade level from pre-k to 12 and have experience teaching all core curricular areas. Additionally, I have a great deal of experience in assisting students who need guidance with test-taking strategies and organizational skills. I am experienced with students who have ADHD, various learning disabilities, are on the autism spectrum, and many others with varying types of disabilities.

I feel it's important for students to be engaged in learning if they are to be successful. Creativity, flexibility, encouragement, and the ability to draw students into the learning experience are some of the methods I will employ when working with your child to make his/her tutoring session a positive and successful experience for both of us.

Study Skills

Learning how to study correctly is important. How a student studies best depends on a variety of factors: the type of learner that child is, the environment, the subject, the tools available to the child, time, etc... I determine how a child learns best and then teach them how to use the other tools available to maximize study time.
