In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
For the past two entire school years I have taught my students various approaches to drawing using a variety of media to explore the many effects of each. These techniques include Oil Pastel, Chalk Pastel, Colored Pencil, Charcoal Techniques and Pencil Drawing. I received a bachelors degree from SUNY New Paltz in 2009 in Arts Education, and also studied art techniques in drawing with pastel during my abroad experience in Florence, Italy while attending the Lorenzo de Medici scuola del arte. I am confident experienced, and excited to continue teaching various approaches to drawing, so that my students can also experience the versatility of the art of drawing.
For the past two entire years, I have taught my students the various ways to explore a variety of painting techniques including Tempera Paint, Acrylic Paint, Oil Paint and Water Color. I have taken many painting courses at SUNY New Paltz while working toward my BS in Arts Education, along with a watercolor/tempera/gouache painting class while attending the Lorenzo de Medici Scuola del Arte in Florence, Italy in 2007. I am confident and experienced in painting with the above materials, and look forward to sharing my approach to painting with future students.
