The thing I most enjoyed about my job as an Associate Professor of Biology was the one-to-one time helping students with the course material, study skills, learning styles, and time management. My greatest joy was seeing a student improve their grades, study skills, and test taking skills. My students highly recommended me to their friends and described me as a Professor who takes the time to help the students individually and who cares about the students and their success.

Colleen is an amazing tutor! I worked with Colleen for a majority of my junior year on AP Bio. She is very patient and uses key words and phrases to help you understand the topics. She prepared me for all my tests and if I ever had a question during the week she was just a phone call or an email away. She guides you through the material and makes the information very easy to understand. Biology was the first AP I ever took and Colleen gave me the confidence to continue on the AP route and sign up for 3 more AP's for senior year. I don't know what I would of done without her this year. I greatly enjoyed our tutoring sessions and she did an amazing job helping me through the course. She adjusted her teaching techniques to my needs and was very accommodating. I greatly recommend Colleen as a tutor.
What a excellent Biology tutor! We are so happy to have found Colleen who helped my daughter prepare her SAT Biology exam. She has a very strong Biology background and a great tutoring sense. She was very responsible and always prepared. She made a very detailed study plan for my daughter, gave extra advice and sent notes after lessons. We couldn't be more pleased. Thank you Colleen!
Dr. Colleen has the experience and the knowledge to help our 11th grader on both IB and AP biology. She is result-driven, patient, and a great mentor for bridging our girl to college. Without her help, our daughter would not have achieved SAT 740 (because her bio school teacher commented impossible given what has been taught at school).
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
