CUNY Queens College
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English from CUNY Queens College and minors in political science and business (honors in business and liberal arts program). I also hold honors such as magna cum laude, dean's list, Dean's Young Professionals Program and Golden Key International Society. Over the past few years, I have tutored for a tutoring company located within NYC and also, privately. I connect with my students to help them with their academic difficulties in subjects ranging from math to English to social studies for grades K through 12. I am a tutor who encourages patience, discipline and practice as the fundamental skills to a student's success in school. Also, working as a tennis instructor has further enhanced my teaching skills and I am able to incorporate fun new methods into my sessions. Please contact me if you would like any references. I look forward to helping you prosper academically.

Asna's approach to tutoring our daughter was very comprehensive. She conducted an assessment of her current skill set and devised a plan to bridge the gap in line with the standards for her grade level. She provide awesome feedback that helped us stay abreast of our daughter's progress and areas of growth that she would be working on for future sessions. We were happy with her services and would highly recommend her.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
