With a diverse background in corporate and restaurant businesses, I’ve earned many titles from temp assignments in data entry, accounts payable/vendors receivable, inventory analysis, project manager, waiter, bartender, and teacher. Through all of these jobs, I have learned that you never stop learning and continue to add more knowledge to open more available door. Back in September of 2006, I began taking pre-requisite courses in Education at Manhattanville College in order to start becoming a teacher. I was already established with a Bachelors in Science in Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Direct Marketing. After a series of tests, I continued to have to retake them and decided that to get my foot in the door, I would get myself certified as a teacher’s assistant.
Since March of 2008, I have been sub teaching in three different school systems: Pleasantville (which I’m most familiar with and known at in both the middle school and high school), Briarcliff, and Valhalla. Each school had a different approach to learning with their ideal curriculums. In both Briarcliff and Valhalla, I was mainly just a shoe-in substitute teacher. However, at Pleasantville, I not only started sub teaching there, but had a variety of roles as substitute teacher with sometimes using lesson plans I learned to formulate through my courses at Manhattanville College. Also, I became a teacher’s aide and then certified teacher’s assistant. The students familiarized me on a daily basis and helped with their various course subjects individually, particularly in English and Social Studies.
I can assure you that with me as your tutor, I will help get you better grades on term papers and essays with my strong writing skills. I will help you with difficult readings related to past and current historic events. Also, with textbooks and online media outlets, I can assist in your researching of information. I will give 110% of my time to you and only wish success in all of your endeavors.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
